Rain Poems

With all the rain we have had lately we wrote rain poems with Mrs Craig. We had lots of fun thinking of creative ways to describe rain.

Rain
falling on the bumpy roof
sliding on the hard windows
splashing on the green leaves,
relaxing nicely on the path.
I slip on you.
I try to catch you
but you are too fast.
In light you glow
like a star
so bright and nice.
By Hao

Smooth rain
sliding down my raincoat.
Raindrops racing
on the wet concrete
soaking the whole town.
Taking you
to freedom,
dropping on the ground,
disappearing.
Helping you relax.
Helping the plants
become powerful.
By Jerry

Smooth little raindrops

sliding down the petals
of bright coloured flowers.
Free raindrops splashing
into ponds making
patterns of circles.
Minature raindrops
making all kinds of patterns
on my transparent window.
Mysterious raindrops
falling onto the ground
and disappearing.
